I am a Marine Corps Veteran as well as a prior law enforcement officer. I am now an “above the knee” (AK) amputee and keep pushing forward, one step at a time.
     While in the Marine Corps, I injured my knees and then in 2005 I began a surgical journey that would soon lead to 23 surgeries on my left leg, eventually resulting in a life-changing above the knee amputation. This ended my career in law enforcement in where I was a Field Training Officer, Mounted Patrol Officer, Evidence Technician, Field Investigator, and SWAT member.
     While it has been a long and hard road, I continue to overcome each and every obstacle that comes my way, yet I still seek new challenges because that is what keeps me going! I am now a “three track”, or one-legged skier. My raw talent and dedication help me to succeed and stand out as a natural phenom, and endure through times of challenge and injury.
